Karils skirt is like 2m and black dhide is 8k. Black dhide has better melee defense where as Karils has slightly better range and mage defense by around 15% in terms of numbers. The main use for Karils is Magic Defence and I believe it is the strongest Magic Defence armor without a Melee Attack negative, which is why you might see it used more for Melee than for Ranged.The Karil's crossbow, heck almost the entire set besides the leather top has no uses outside of fashionscape & being flip merched, not even a niche use like it's brother set Verac's for some bosses as it is vastly inferior to the level 50 Magic Shortbow (I) in almost every single aspect but that miniscule accuracy bonus.Rebalancing Blog looks pretty good, but don't neglect the Karil's Crossbow please. Karils Crossbow is a pretty neat weapon that could fit snugly into the range meta. It's slightly better than a magic shortbow with rune arrows, and obtaining it for ironmen isn't too difficult (ammo included, there's an NPC shop). Karil's crossbow requires 70 Ranged and will perform well against all enemies, especially with the Amulet of the Damned's double-tap effect with Karil's equipment. The magic shortbow (i) has only a 50 Ranged requirement, and will be faster than crossbows against the weaker enemies, but will taper off against the high-defence Ket-Zeks and Jad ...Karil's: 25% chance of hitting twice with one attack.
